Marine & Trolling Motor Solution — Suitcase Series (12V / 24V / 36V / 48V)
Model scope
Suitcase PP case models for marine/trolling use: 12V 100/200/300Ah, 24V 100Ah, 36V 105Ah, 48V 60Ah / 105Ah.
Water note
Shell was originally IP67, but added connectors/ports reduce waterproofing. Treat as splash-resistant, dust-/moisture-resistant, not submersible.
General
What is the battery chemistry?
LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) — safe, long cycle life, stable output.
Can this be used for trolling, kayak, camping, or backup loads?
Yes. Designed for trolling motors/boats; also popular for kayaks, camping/RV aux power, and surveillance backup.
How to choose voltage (12/24/36/48V) for trolling motors?
Match your motor’s rated voltage. Typical pairings: 12V → ≤55–70 lb thrust, 24V → ~70–80 lb, 36V → ~100–112 lb, 48V → high-power/custom systems.
Charging
What charger should I use?
Use LiFePO₄-compatible CC/CV charger. Cut-off voltage by pack: 12V=14.6V, 24V=29.2V, 36V≈43.8V, 48V≈58.4V (follow nameplate).
Can I use my old lead-acid charger?
Not recommended unless it has a lithium mode; otherwise it may under-/over-charge.
Solar charging?
Yes, via a solar charge controller set to LiFePO₄.
Installation & Use
Any mounting or placement tips?
Suitcase packs can be mounted in any orientation; fix with ratcheting tie-down straps to prevent movement. Keep vents/ports clear; avoid prolonged water exposure. After saltwater trips, rinse terminals with fresh water and dry.
Will 36V/48V packs need series connection?
No. They are integrated high-voltage packs — do not series them with other batteries.
Can I parallel batteries?
For 12V/24V: parallel up to 4 identical units (same model/capacity/batch). For 36V/48V: parallel only if the product manual explicitly allows; otherwise avoid. Always fully charge & rest to equalize before paralleling.
Runtime & Performance
How long will it run?
Depends on thrust, speed, hull/weight, wind/current, and temperature. As a rough guide: 12V 100Ah can power a 55 lb motor ~4–6 h of mixed-speed use; 24V 100Ah is more efficient at similar thrust. Higher-voltage packs (36/48V) suit higher-thrust or longer offshore runs.
Storage & Maintenance
Long-term storage tips?
Store at 50–70% SOC in a cool, dry place. Switch the pack to OFF to prevent parasitic drain. If voltage drops too low, it may not recharge. Top up monthly to avoid low-voltage damage.
Any maintenance required?
No routine maintenance; the smart BMS auto-balances cells.
Temperature effect?
Cold reduces available capacity; operate within the specified temperature range.
Safety & Protection
What protections are built in?
BMS provides short-circuit, over/under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature protections.
Can I fully submerge the battery?
No. Packs are splash-resistant only after adding ports; do not submerge.
Troubleshooting
The battery won’t charge.
Check the charger is LiFePO₄ mode and voltage matches (14.6/29.2/43.8/58.4V). If pack is deeply discharged, contact support for activation steps.
Power cuts out during use.
Load may exceed BMS peak; lower speed or ensure motor’s surge current stays within pack spec. After protection, power cycle and wait a few minutes.
Bluetooth/App won’t connect.
Move closer, update the app, wake the battery (press power).
Warranty & Support
Warranty terms?
5-year limited warranty (details in policy). Misuse, water ingress, or unauthorized disassembly are excluded.
How do I get support? Where is the MAC code?
Contact support with order info, issue photos/video, and MAC code (on the battery label QR sticker, format like `A5:XX:XX:XX:XX`). Include an LCD photo if applicable.
